Customer Service Representative/Production Assistant
Location: Bridgewater

We are looking for a highly motivated, results driven, indispensable customer service representative who will support our fast-paced award-winning print and production teams. The successful candidate will maximize Print and Production solutions to meet the needs of Customers while maintaining and enhancing Indispensable Customer Service. Working within a professional team environment you will collaborate with Sales Representatives, Pre-media and other internal departments.

Job Responsibilities:

*             Support delivery of all customer products from sales through to delivery of finished products.

*             Maintain and comply with all inter-department processes and procedures as required.

*             Accurately complete sales docket instructions and enter information to pre-media department.

*             Ensure timely and accurate client file specifications are processed through pre-media.

*             Prepare and process order updates per customer changes.

*             Ensure accurate distribution lists are received and processed through distribution on-time.

*             Manage issues pertaining to the client orders that may arise from bindery, pre-press and other departments.

*             Maintain accurate and up-to-date communication with customers regarding production job status.

*             Maintain accurate and effective communication with Shipping and Receiving to ensure deliveries are met.

*             Prepare sales docket orders to billing stage and forward to accounting.

*             Adhere to job procedures and policies ensuring customer reports, schedules and program deadlines are met.

*             Attend and actively participate in customer service and production meetings.

*             Complete purchasing and procurement for production materials as required.

*             Perform other general duties and provide back-up for pre-press as required.

The successful candidate will possess:

*             2 to 3 years customer service experience ideally within commercial print.

*             Very good experience working with MS Suite of office products.

*             Post-Secondary education and/or equivalent working experience are required.

*             Very analytical and able to identify and problem solve.

*             Strong organizational and communication skills.

*             Excellent attention to detail.

*             Very good interpersonal skills.

*             Able to work independently as well as part of the team.

*             Excellent time management and customer service planning and execution skills.

*             Must comply with self and co-worker safety while working within Company Health and Safety Standards.

Sales Analyst

Advocate Printing & Publishing, located in Pictou, Nova Scotia is the largest privately-owned printing and publishing company in Atlantic Canada.  Committed to growth, continuous improvement and exceptional customer value, Advocate understands that people really do make a difference.

“Our goal is simple, be indispensable” Advocate is looking for an indispensable sales analyst who will help develop and track key performance indicators critical to the improvement of decision-making and enhancement of print solutions. 

The successful candidate will help maximize commercial print productivity and revenues through collection, analysis and reporting of sales related data in a continuous effort to increase overall sales. 

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales this position collaborates with all sales personnel as well as Estimating, Shipping and Receiving and Production teams across Atlantic Canada.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create standardized reports utilizing sales data from company sales systems.
  • Conduct analysis on product sales to produce meaningful trends and predictive measures.
  • Collect, analyze, evaluate and report on customer specific data.
  • Assist managers in developing and reviewing sales budgets and rolling sales forecasts including sales to budget variance analysis.
  • Analyze print, digital and signage sales solutions to determine profitability.
  • Help co-ordinate data collection for sales forecasting.
  • Collaborate with estimating and all internal teams when preparing forecasting by providing them with the necessary information and guidance for short and long-range forecasts.
  • Communicate results to key stakeholders by providing sales analysis.
  • Perform all work within Advocate’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.   
  • Perform other general duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary education in Business Administration or equivalent working experience.
  • Ideally candidate has 3 to 5 years sales analyst experience.
  • Ability to co-ordinate and manage simultaneous data analysis requests of varying size and scope.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Project Management and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent time management and accuracy with details.
