Bruce was a man of quiet generosity with an eagerness to help people. He reached out to others with small personal gestures, through well planned initiatives and anonymously with the help of others. As a family we quickly recognized the need to carry on this tradition.
The Bruce F. Murray Family Foundation has been very active since it was first formed in the spring of 2004. Through your help, we have been able to make a difference locally and internationally.
The Foundation’s first project was to provide life jackets to the local Breast Cancer Survivor’s Dragon Boat Team, keeping them safe as they collectively support each other in their rehabilitation. This was a fitting first project as Bruce was a devoted fan and supporter of the team and so loved to come to the rescue.
We were also delighted to be able to contribute to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Wing so that a hospital room could be constructed, furnished and named in his honor. Your contribution helped the foundation sponsor several less fortunate families this Christmas, and make a major impact on a developing Guatemalan community and contribute to other local and national Charities.
We hope that the Bruce F. Murray Family Foundation can make a difference where there is a need for many years to come. In the interest of achieving this goal, Advocate Printing and our family have matched all donations to date at a ratio of approximately ten to one.
Thank you again for remembering Bruce. Your support and respect for Bruce and our family is much appreciated.
